One text thread.

You send the job the way you already have it: a text, an email, or the ticket forwarded from ServiceTitan, Jobber or Housecall Pro. We file it within the hour, under your license, in the right portal, under the right subtype.

Then we watch it. Status checked every hour. The moment it issues, the inspection is booked and the window is in your thread.

$99 a permit, flat. The county's fee is separate and paid as usual. Corrections are same day at no charge.

Sample thread. Real ones look like this, with your address and your license.

Checked before it goes in.

  • NOA matches the equipmentThe notice of acceptance on file is for the unit you're installing.
  • Tonnage matches the load calcSo the reviewer isn't the first to notice.
  • Parcel matches the addressThe folio the county has, not the one on the work order.
  • The subtype the county wantsEqual change out, not new install, not "other".

We do not make the county review faster. The county reviews at its own pace. What we take out is the bounce, the wait you didn't know about, and the inspection nobody booked.

Four portals. One desk.

Each jurisdiction has its own way to name a delegate. You do it once, about ten minutes, and we file under your license from then on. You can remove us the same way.

Anywhere else in Florida, on request.

Tell us the jurisdiction. Most Florida building departments run a portal with a delegate or authorized-agent process. We confirm the exact step with that office before your first job.

Public record: across the four Tampa Bay portals, contractors filed roughly 4,300 mechanical and plumbing permits a month this summer, most of them like-for-like changeouts.

Straight answers.

Are you a licensed contractor?

No. We are your delegate. Every permit is filed under your license, by us, through the delegate or authorized-agent process each county runs. We do not do the work and never represent ourselves as the contractor.

Do you make the county approve faster?

No. The county reviews at its own pace. What gets faster is everything around the review: filed within the hour, checked so it does not bounce, status checked hourly, inspection booked the moment it issues.

Who pays the county's permit fee?

You do, the same way you do today. Our $99 is for the work of filing, checking, watching, booking and closing.

What happens if a permit bounces?

We fix it the same day at no extra charge. Most bounces are a subtype, a parcel mismatch or an NOA that does not match the equipment, which is why we check those first.

Can I remove you?

Yes, any time, in the same place you added us. No contract, no minimum, nothing to cancel.

Do you work outside Tampa Bay?

Yes, anywhere in Florida, on request. The four Tampa Bay portals are where we file every day. For another county or city, tell us which, and we confirm that office's delegate process before you send the first job. Same $99, same first one free.

What counts as one permit?

One record in one jurisdiction. A changeout that also needs a plumbing permit is a second record and a second $99.

A good fit

  • Licensed Florida CAC, CMC and CFC contractors, Tampa Bay shops first
  • 5 to 30 techs, 10 or more permits a month
  • Mostly changeouts, water heaters, repipes and new installs

Not a fit

  • Homeowners and owner-builders
  • One-off permits, or work outside Florida
  • Anything needing plan review or zoning. Send those to a full-service expediter.

One desk, one person

Permit Puncher is run by John Dillard, B2B background, based in Tampa Bay. He files every permit himself, watches every status himself, and answers the phone himself. No team page, no made-up years in business, no client logos until they are earned.
